Who am I?
I am not sure where to start so here it goes
My name is Linda D. Watson, AKA "Scooter" as my friends call me. I live in Pinellas Park, FL.  I am a member of King of Peace MCC in St. Petersburg, FL. Oct. 31, 2003, will be one year when I was brought into the membership there and my life has never been the same.  I always knew God was a LOVING God!

My spouse (Cathy) and I are both 100% Service Connected Disabled Army veterans.  Cathy my spouse served 3 years in Vietnam as an enlisted WAC (Women Army Corps) and is now suffering from the after effects from Agent Orange exposure.  She has a multitude of illnesses and disabilities resulting from her time in Vietnam.  We have known each other for several years and were BEST FRIENDS.  We had our Holy Union Ceremony on Feb. 15, 2003 at our home church King Of Peace MCC in St. Petersburg, FL.  Click here for some of our Holy Union pictures.  I have not finished yet but will addmore at another time.

I am myself also disabled from an accident I had while surviving in the military  (Army) myself and get around on an electric scooter and a cane. I am the only survivor of that accident out of 7 that were in that vehicle.  God was watching over me that particular day!  The doctors told me I would never walk again but GOD had other plans for me!  I have endured close to 15 or so  corrective surgeries over the years.

I am now active also as a Veteran's Advocate I try to keep up on  dealing with Veterans benefit issues, Women Veterans issues, along with disability and accessibility issues.  I am still trying to find my "niche" in the church  as it is very hard to attend services regularly because of my spouse's and my heath issues.  But with God's help I know we will be right back in there as My God is an AWSOME AND GREAT GOD!

I am also "new" to the MCC culture so to speak after being "ousted" from my local former Southern Baptist church I attended after being "found out."  I was and still sort of a "closet Lesbian" but I am coming out more because I do not feel so ashamed.  Because I now know that God LOVES me too!

After reading a newspaper article in the Tampa Tribune section on religion one day last year, I attended one of the services at King Of Peace MCC and found out that God's love is for me too.  I am now a member of that church and attend services faithfully whenever we can.

Cathy my spouse fell and broke her Humerus bone on her left arm several months ago and she has also had several other health problems since then as well.  It has been very difficult for her to even get around very much but she does her best to keep herself going.  She has severe osteoporosis so her bones can break very easy and they cannot do surgery due to her health issues with her heart.  It has been an up and down hill battle for us both these past couple of years and she needs a whole LOT of prayers  for her now and in the future.  Please continue to pray for us that her health and my health continue to get better.

I began searching the Internet for outlets to keep a connection to the church and finding resources to help me in my own journey  while at times we are homebound because of our health.  I then decided to create some of my own web sites to help other GLBT in their journeys as well and to let them know they are not alone AND THEY ARE LOVED!

Cathy and I are part of the Congregational Care Team at our church and are also trying to get invloved with other activities as our health permits.

I hope and pray you will enjoy the web sites I have made and hope they have helped you in some way.  Stay tuned........more pages to come!  This site is a work in progress in my walk with the Lord to help to minister to those GLBT that are hurting.  God's love is UNCONDITIONNAL

Be not ashamed of your life or your Christianity, reflect both openly. Your Christianity affects all you are, you cannot be a Christian in a closet, hidden from the world; no, you are called to be light to the world. Your sexuality is a part of what makes you who you are, you are not called to be ashamed of it, but to walk Christ-like in it. If you walk Christ-like in all you are, including your sexuality, then you have no shame, no need to hide, but rather are able to live your life freely and openly as a witness. Your life, lived in Christ, shall be a witness to the salvation and acceptance of some people, and to the confounding and rejection of others. Either way, God shall be with you. Matt. 5:13-16
