LINDA D. WATSON (Keys) AKA "SCOOTER" PROUD ARMY VETERAN
|
IN MEMORY OF MY FATHER RODGERS MOODY KEYS U.S. AIR FORCE VETERAN, MSGT. RET.
AKA "BUCKY" |
My father was born in Winnsboro, LA, October 22, 1935 and died March 7, 2002 at the Little Rock, Arkansas Veterans Hospital with Agent Orange related cancers. He fought a good battle for many years.....now he is at peace..........HE WAS ONLY 66 YEARS OLD................He is survived by a Daughter Linda D. Watson (Keys) of Tampa, Florida and a Son, Lonnie Craig Keys of Maybleville, Arkansas, A mother in Winnsboro, LA and 3 sisters Margarete Reed of Feriday, LA, Joy Arnold Bryan, TX, Betty Sawyer, West Monroe, LA and one brother Kenneth Keys, Bryan, TX., along with several grandchildren, neices and nephews. |

My Step Mother Ann Keys, of Greenbriar, Arkansas chose to have my father cremated and NOT have a funeral for him. My father was in the Air Force for 21 years and became 100% disabled due to Agent Orange related diseases and cancers. She plans to just scatter his ashes on some mountain top so he will not have a final resting place nor a military funeral in his honor. Ann, my Step Mother told my brother and I if we were to show up to or try to come to her home she would have us arrested for trespassing. So I created this web site to HONOR my father and to pay tribute to him and his military service. A memorial service will be held at Bushnell National Cemetery here in Florida, to honor my father's military career on, April 5, 2002, at 2:30 P.M. A memorial marker will be placed in his honor there.
I am not saying my father was perfect but he was my father..........My father also suffered from PTSD from his service in Vietnam and my Step Mother used that to keep his children away from him......we were kept away from him and he was kept away from his own family.........we once were a close nit family with several reunions and had many happy times togather....My mother died when I was in High School and then he married Ann and that is when the problems started.....that is when she cut him off from all of his family......I hope she has a good life now after what she has done to our family.........
DADDY, I LOVED YOU WITH ALL MY HEART! NOW YOU CAN REST IN PEACE......... |
